Integrity Mold Expands Capacity
JANUARY 2, 2002 AZLE, TX --
Integrity Mold has announced that their new Cincinnati CNC Vertical Machining Center is up and running. It is Cincinnati's new Arrow Series 2 VMC-1000, which has a massive 40 inches of travel in the X-axis (left to right). Shop owner Kevin Henry explained, "This new machine allows us to build molds 4 feet long, which is double the size of our previous capacity."
The new machine is equipped with Ultimate Performance™ Technology for more power, increased rapid traverse and acceleration/deceleration performance, and faster axis drives. A state-of-the-art Profibus system, digital scales and digital vector servos are included. The computer control is the new high performance fiber-optic Siemens A2100Di, with a unique dual processor design that incorporates industry-standard PC technology. This unique and powerful software operates on a Windows NT platform with a touch-screen interface.
"With a 12,500 rpm chilled spindle and the high-speed mold package, it allows us to hard-mill cores and cavities after they have been heat treated" Henry said. It has an Ethernet connection that is connected to the network at Integrity Mold to enable high speed data transfer essential for complex programs found in mold applications.
